Any updates made in Link are reflected immediately in the Link database and are queued to be sent to Xero Practice Manager using a queuing system. This ensures there is no limitation on the volume of data you can update in Link, and the whole experience is fast.
When viewing Tasks and Jobs in Link, there is a “Synced” field which indicates whether the data in both Link and Xero Practice Manager are in sync. When Link and Xero Practice Manager are in sync you will see a green traffic light. When a change is queued to be sent to Xero Practice Manager you will see a yellow traffic light.
A yellow traffic light does not impact anything you do in Link, and you can continue to make further changes to that task or job. Any further changes made will update the item in the API queue with the new changes.
The API queue processes as many items as possible each minute until the queue is clear. Once the change has been made in Xero Practice Manager and Link has received confirmation of the change, the traffic light will automatically update to green indicating that Xero Practice Manager and Link are in sync again.
