There are two levels of drilldowns in View Capacity. The first is from the Monthly Capacity view that shows 12 months of capacity for all team members.
When you drill into this, you are taken to the month you have drilled into, showing all the team members that make up the bar you have clicked on.
The second level of drilldown is when you drill into one of the bars that belong to a team member. This drills you down into Workflow that shows the list of tasks this team member has been assigned. This opens as a new tab in your web browser so you don’t lose the capacity chart you are in.
Drilldowns are to be used to first identify team members that are over or under allocated. Once you spot this, you can drill into Workflow and move tasks around to ensure everyone on the team is appropriately allocated.
Filters
Filters in Capacity are not currently available.
Filters reduce the data shown in the capacity chart. You can add filters to show a specific team, office or job titles of your team. This allows you to group people in your organization and move work around easier. If you find a good set of filters that allow you to see a valuable chart, save the view so you can come back to it at a later time.
Views
Views are a quick way to save a view you have created using different settings or filters. To create a new view select ‘New View’ then configure the view the way you’d like. Saved views will save the following:
- Monthly/Team Capacity
- Date (but will be updated to today if date is in the past)
- Filters
Once you’ve created a view you’d like to save, click on the view dropdown and select save, then rename it to something that helps you identify the view.
