Background of issue
Invoices can be created in XPM and sent to Xero, or created in Xero and sent back to XPM. If you edit an invoice in Xero, will it update XPM?
How to resolve this issue
Invoices that have been created in XPM and are edited in Xero will not update in XPM. If you want to reflect this update in XPM, you will need to cancel the invoice in XPM, then recreate it.
Invoices that have been created in Xero and are edited in Xero will not update XPM. To update XPM, you first need to delete the invoice from XPM so it only exists in Xero. You can then make the update to the invoice in Xero and overnight the invoice will be reposted to XPM. For more information on this, read Chapter 10: Invoicing and look at the section on fixed-price agreements.
Timeframe to implement this solution:
It will take between one and two minutes per invoice.
